How do I apply for a Loan?
Applying for a No Interest Loan is easy, here’s how:
- Make an enquiry – you can apply now by clicking the link below or call us on 02 6882 2975
- A letter will be sent to you with a list of documents to gather, including quotes for your item
- When you have these documents – please call us and make an appointment
- A NILS Loans Officer will then sit with you and help you put your application together
- Your application is sent anonymously to our Loans Assessment Committee
- If you are approved you will be asked to sign a Loan Agreement and a Centrepay Form to authorise deduction of agreed payments from your Centrelink benefit.
- You will be given a receipt of purchase to take to the supplier to purchase your item.
How much can I borrow?
- From $100 to $1,200
- For a maximum term of 18 months
What does it cost?
- There are no charges
- No setup fees
- NO INTEREST on loans
- You only repay what you’ve borrowed
- Our services are free and you can be assured of confidentiality
Who can apply?
- People who receive a Centrelink payment
- Those who are on a low income
- Those who are willing and able to repay the loan in fortnightly repayments
